About

David Krajčík [crycheek] is an artist working at the intersection of sound, image, and technology.

He began his creative journey studying classical guitar and theatre, which led to a five-year career as a professional actor. After the success of a TV series changed his public life, he stepped away from the spotlight to reconnect with more personal and experimental forms of expression. Music production became his outlet and eventually brought him to Berlin, where he studied sound engineering and audio production.

His work blends field recordings, visuals, and digital processes — often beginning with real-world material that he reframes or distorts using contemporary tools (Ableton Live, Arduino, TouchDesigner, Blender).

Recurring themes in his practice include destruction, digital surveillance, and the tension between physical and virtual realities. He is especially drawn to how technology shapes perception, memory, and behaviour, creating immersive experiences that feel both intimate and unsettling.
